Our History

Southern Missouri Natural Gas (SMNG) is the new name for one of the region's most trusted and dependable companies. Certified for service by the Missouri Public Service Commission in 1995 as Southern Missouri Gas Company, SMNG currently serves over 8,000 residential, business and industrial customers in six Missouri counties including Greene, Webster, Wright, Douglas, Texas and Howell.

Our System

SMNG's underground distribution pipelines not only meet but exceed federal, state and industry safety standards. Pipelines are the most efficient and dependable way to supply natural gas to our residential and business customers.

Our People

SMNG employs a staff of experienced energy professionals who oversee operations including customer service, sales and marketing, gas supply, pipeline operations, regulatory affairs and financial services. Our average employee has been with the company for six years and has a thorough knowledge of all SMNG's systems and policies.
